The Island

An oasis of peace, relaxation and nature is waiting for you in the heart of the Antilles! Far from the metropolitan traffic and the cold weather of the European or American winters. Enjoy the tropical sun and the crystalline sea with your vacation for one week or more. Bonaire, the place where you can swim or dive the ocean and its shipwrecks or just observe the beautiful fishes on the reef. The island has been aged for several millions years and it is indeed in very good condition! The ocean and the reef system along with its many dive shops and inns are the reason for the motto "Divers Paradise" upon the car's license plates. You may relax in the garden or under the porch or suntan yourself on one of the beautiful beaches of the island, take shopping trips in Kralendjik or taste the specialties of every country in the restaurants along the promenade. There is also gambling at the Casino or take a tour of the island (National Slaagbay Park on the North side and the Flamingos Reserve on the South side). Side trips to the nearby islands of Aruba and Curacao which are reachable via air in less than a half hour are also available. Bonaire is an ideal place to enjoy the quiet sea, the snorkeling or scuba diving or just plain soaking up the sunshine on the Caribbean side of Bonaire. If you prefer water sports such as wind surfing, water skiing, parasailing, kayaking or technical diving than the Atlantic Ocean is just around the other side of island, you will be fulled with incredible emotions! And for an unforgettable daytrip travel to "Klein Bonaire" a small uninhabited islet in front of the city of Kralendijk awaiting for you there with its white sand beaches, a real "Dream of Paradise"! All this and more is waiting for you to enjoy on the island of Bonaire while staying at "Aquarius Lodge".

The accommodation

Aquarius Lodge is located in Belnem, a residential neighbourhood of Bonaire, very close to Kralendjik with its shops, boutiques, restaurants and sport centres. "Bachelors’ Beach" is only three minutes walking from our villa, a few minutes farther by car and you can step upon the famous "Pink Beach". There are also plenty of good snorkelling and diving spots nearby. In Belnem you will find diving centres and restaurants. Aquarius Lodge is a nice quiet home having a large garden area with shade trees and flowerbeds. You will arrive as a guest but you will leave as a friend and you want to return here soon! The ambiance is warm, friendly and convivial, while all the time respecting your privacy and your personal time for relaxation. You can choose between a studio-apartment or a double room to better serve your needs.

Dolphin Apartment has a queen size bed and a bathroom with shower in tropical style. The lodge supplies hot water twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. There are hair dryers and bathrobes at your disposal during your stay with us. A very well equipped kitchenette with microwave, four burner stove, toaster, fridge/freezer and of course Italian and American style coffee pots for those early mornings sitting by the patio. At the entry, the living room with a sofa-bed for two. The studio has two closets. The studio can lodge a maximum of four people easily. Outside is a furnished patio to enjoy an afternoon cocktail after sunbathing or just to unwind and relax. in self-catering board; breakfast for an additional charge.

Turtle Room is a big double room having queen size bed, a mini bar, a closet, a bathroom with tub, hairdryer and bathrobes. Both accommodations have ceiling fan, air-conditioning, their own independent entry and furnished patio along with vehicle parking. In B&B board.

Outside is a dive tub to wash and rinse your diving equipment. Both rental units have been totally remodelled and renewed in June of 2004 with particular attention to detail and island's taste.

We accept US$, Euros and Naf. The prices do include the service charge and all the utilities: gas, electricity, hot water, air-co; but do not include the tourist tax: US$ 6,50 per person per night

• a friend of yours books by us, he gets a 10% discount and you will get a 15% discount on your next stay

Get a 20% discount:

• on your second stay, if you make 2 vacation by us within 12 months

Only one of the discounts is applicable at any one time, and they are not available in the period 20 Dec-6 Jan.
